The authors of this book have an amazing amount of teaching
experience and great ideas about classroom management differentiated
instruction and multimedia technology experience as well. The book starts off
with what it takes to be a teacher in the 21st century. The authors
also do a great job about describing today’s students and how impacted they are
by current trends in technology. After reading this book I feel like I have
walked away with a greater understanding of the students in today’s classroom
and the importance technology will play in their educational experience.
This book is all about breaking down the fundamental
concepts of the technologically advanced classroom and making it easier to
understand and implement at your own pace as you start the path onto creating a
classroom that effectively and actively utilizes the power of technology. This
book also provides tips on how to break down concepts and develop a method for teaching
your current students the content area you wish to teach. Websites and tech
applications are implemented throughout the text which I have already saved
into my tablet to use as a future tool in my teaching toolkit. The authors encourage
teaching to a higher standard and allowing our students to rise to the occasion
and think beyond the lesson plan no matter what level of learning they are
currently at. The use of technology can only enhance and expand the lessons we
are teaching within our classrooms. I strongly encourage this book for those
looking for amazing ways to incorporate technology into the classroom in an
advanced and meaningful way for both the students and the teachers within the
classroom. I give this book 2 thumbs up!
